Macmillan Coffee Morning 2025
What a fantastic turnout at our Macmillan Coffee Morning! Our school choir delighted everyone with a range of songs, Mr. Clephane gave an inspiring presentation on our school values – The BREW, and our School Council members did a great job serving the cakes. A truly wonderful community event in support of a great cause!
St. Mary's 50th Anniversary Mass
On Friday, 20th September, our school and parish community came together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of St. Mary's Catholic School. Our children were remarkable, delivering readings with clarity and heart, and singing passionately. Their performances added a special touch to a wonderful and memorable occasion. After Mass, we had the opportunity to reconnect with members of our community, including former staff, alumni, and representatives from the Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust. It was a wonderful chance to share memories, reflect on our journey, and celebrate the rich history of St. Mary's Catholic School together.
Upon returning to school, we proudly raised our 50th Anniversary flag and joyfully sang "Happy Birthday" to celebrate our beloved school. It was a heartwarming moment that highlighted the pride and spirit of our community. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, the children were delighted with a special treat—ice cream! It was a sweet way to mark the occasion and brought smiles to everyone's faces.
We ended the day with a lively ceilidh dance, where the older children supported and guided the younger ones. It was a fantastic and joyful conclusion to a truly memorable day of celebration.
