At St. Mary’s, we are proud to be an anti-bullying school where kindness, respect, and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Wellbeing Champions, chosen from Year 1 to Year 6, play an important role in supporting a positive and caring school environment. Easily recognised in their high-visibility jackets, they help to look after their peers’ wellbeing during playtimes and lunchtimes, ensuring everyone feels safe, included, and valued.

Anti-Bullying Pledge

St. Mary’s School Council proudly introduced the St. Mary’s Pledge, a commitment signed by every pupil and staff member to uphold a school environment free from bullying. This pledge represents our united promise to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive community where bullying is never tolerated. By signing the pledge, we affirm our shared values and dedication to making St. Mary’s a place where everyone feels safe and supported. Together, we are taking a strong stand against bullying and building a kinder, more compassionate school.

We, the pupils and staff of St. Mary's Catholic Primary School, stand together to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all.

We pledge to Be Kind:
We will treat each other with respect, empathy, and compassion.
We will stand up for one another and lend a helping hand to those in need.
We will use our words to build each other up, not tear each other down.

We pledge to Be Safe:
We will ensure that everyone feels physically and emotionally safe at school.
We will not engage in any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
We will report any instances of bullying to a trusted adult to seek help and resolution.

We pledge to Believe:
We will believe in the power of positive change and the ability of individuals to make a difference.
We will believe in the unique qualities and abilities of each person in our school community.
We will believe in the strength of unity and the potential to eradicate bullying from our school.

Together, we pledge to Be Kind, Be Safe, and Believe in creating a school where everyone is valued, respected, and protected. We are committed to fostering a culture of kindness and inclusivity, and we will work together to eliminate bullying in all its forms.
